The mission of the Osteosarcoma Institute (OSI) is to dramatically increase treatment options and survival rates in osteosarcoma patients through identifying and funding the most promising and breakthrough osteosarcoma clinical trials and science.

To date, the OSI has committed over $5.2 million to promising osteosarcoma research in the following areas:

• Clinical trials of new potential therapies that have promising preclinical rationales
• Correlative studies that evaluate how and why a potential new therapy works, or doesn’t work, in clinical trials
• Translational studies that investigates the basic biology of osteosarcoma and its metastasis and looks for clues for how to attack it
