Donate today in loving memory of Isabelle “Izzy” Martin

Izzy was a bright, strong, and talented young girl with a servant’s heart

Izzy started dancing when she was two years old. While practicing a solo dance at age 10, she injured her upper leg, breaking her femur. Her doctors discovered the underlying cause of this break — osteosarcoma, the most common form of bone cancer in children. Izzy received treatment for the cancer, but a year later, it came back. Tragically, Izzy succumbed to the disease on July 29, 2022 after two years of fighting osteosarcoma.

Izzy was a leader and selflessly used her voice to advocate for the advancement of childhood cancer research. Seeing how underfunded osteosarcoma research is, Izzy felt called to use her voice and her story to inspire others to help. In fact, she raised approximately $300,000 for osteosarcoma research for the OSI during her lifetime.

Her family is continuing her work and honoring her legacy through the TeamIzzy Foundation Research Fund at the OSI. Recent donations from Izzy’s parents have brought their lifetime support to $450,000, and every dollar is immediately applied to research in honor of Izzy.
